How far in advance do I need to book?
Reservations must be made at least 24 hours before your departure time. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during holidays, App State events, and peak travel seasons (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break). Seats are limited and fill up fast.
How do I book?
You can book online in under a minute or call us at (336) 484-1350. You'll receive a confirmation email within 2 hours with your exact pickup location and instructions.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Free cancellation or changes up to 12 hours before your departure time. Within 12 hours, a $25 change fee applies. No-shows are non-refundable. To change, call (336) 484-1350 or reply to your confirmation email.
How do I pay?
Payment is collected when you book. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. Pricing is per seat — no hidden fees or surcharges.
Can I book for a group?
Absolutely. You can book up to 5 seats online. For groups of 6 or more, call us at (336) 484-1350 for a group rate. We also offer private charter options through Ashe County Airport Shuttle.

Routes & Schedule

What is the route?
Our route runs: West Jefferson → Boone → Wilkesboro → Statesville → Charlotte (CLT). Return trips follow the reverse order. Each city has a designated pickup/dropoff point that you'll receive with your confirmation.
How long does the trip take?
Total travel time from West Jefferson to CLT is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. From Boone: ~2 hours. From Wilkesboro: ~1.5 hours. From Statesville: ~45 minutes. Times vary based on traffic and weather.
Where exactly do I get picked up?
Each city has a designated pickup point at a safe, well-lit, easily accessible location. After booking, you'll receive the exact address with GPS coordinates and instructions. At CLT, we pick up at the Ground Transportation area outside baggage claim.
Do you run on holidays?
Yes, we operate 7 days a week including holidays. During major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), we may run adjusted schedules. Your confirmation will always show the exact time for your specific trip.
What if I need a time not on the schedule?
Call us at (336) 484-1350. We may be able to accommodate special requests. We also offer private airport transfers that depart at any time of your choosing.

Luggage & Amenities

How much luggage can I bring?
Each passenger may bring one checked bag and one carry-on/personal item at no extra charge. If you have oversized luggage, golf clubs, ski equipment, or extra bags, let us know when booking so we can ensure space.
What vehicle do you use?
We operate a Mercedes Sprinter executive shuttle with comfortable high-back seating, climate control, USB charging ports, and generous luggage storage. This is luxury transportation — not a cramped van.
Is Wi-Fi available on the shuttle?
We're working on adding Wi-Fi. In the meantime, cell service is strong along most of the route (I-77 corridor). USB charging ports are available at every seat.

Airport & Flights

What if my flight is delayed?
For CLT pickups, we track your flight in real time. If your flight is delayed, we automatically adjust. You don't need to call or stress. We'll be at Ground Transportation when you land and clear baggage claim.
Which terminal at CLT?
Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) has one main terminal. We pick up and drop off at the Ground Transportation area on the lower level, outside of baggage claim. Exact door and coordinates are in your confirmation email.
How early should I arrive at CLT before my flight?
We recommend arriving at CLT at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international. Choose a departure time that gets you to CLT with that buffer. Check the full schedule for arrival times.

Safety & Licensing

Is the shuttle service licensed and insured?
Yes. Blue Ridge Airport Shuttle operates under Ashe County Livery, a fully licensed NC for-hire transportation company with NC For-Hire Plates and $1.5 million commercial liability insurance. We exceed all state requirements. Learn more about NC for-hire requirements →
Are your drivers professional?
All drivers are background-checked, professionally trained, and experienced on the mountain-to-CLT route. They know the roads, the weather patterns, and how to keep you safe and comfortable.

Pricing

Is there a roundtrip discount?
Yes! Roundtrip bookings receive approximately a 10% discount compared to booking two one-way trips. The discount is applied automatically when you select roundtrip on the booking form.
Are there group rates?
For groups of 6 or more, call (336) 484-1350 for a custom group rate. For large groups needing a private vehicle, check out our private airport transfer service.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. Luggage is included. No fuel surcharges, no booking fees, no holiday upcharges. Transparent pricing, always.
